Microsoft found that hackers are attacking a software called as share tool that companies and government groups used to send and share files inside their teams. Only the people who are using SharePoint server on their own computer or networks are in danger.
The people who are using SharePoint online Microsoft 365 (cloud version) are safe from this attack.
Who is working with Microsoft to solve the issue ?
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said that they know about the attack and our trying to help. FBI is a US government agency with intelligence responsibility and law enforcement.
Microsoft is also working with cyber security and infrastructure security to help people not get attacked by hackers.
What kind of attack is it?
This is a zero-day attack which means that the hackers have found up problem that no one knew about before. They are using it secretly to attack users.
The hackers pretend themselves to be someone trusted like a company or government which can trick people to trust them and give them genuine information.

The Microsoft gave several solution to the users like they have asked the users to install a security update and in case if someone cannot install the update they should disconnect the server with the internet then and there to stay safe .
